If you're looking to save on your electric bill you might want to consider installing solar panels on your roof -- yes even in this weather it'll work.B.C. company, Swiss Solar Tech, has unveiled its first solar and heat recovery system, that means panels laid across the roof of your home will use to sun to heat your home and water, and pretty much anything else you need it for.The system works by connecting an electric heat pump, which is then integrated into the building's plumbing system.

Chris Bunka with the company says you'll save a lot of money."Well you can save anywhere from about 30 to 80 per cent on your electric bill, depending on your typical usage.
