Intersolar 2008 (U.S.)
The inaugural Intersolar North America exhibition and conference is being held in conjunction with SEMICON West 2008 in San Francisco, California. It will represent the largest exhibition serving the entire solar energy supply chain in the United States and focuses on photovoltaics, solar thermal technologies and solar architecture. The event will utilize 350,000 square feet of combined exhibition space throughout the Moscone North, West and South buildings. Around 200 international, solar companies and 1,400 companies overall will be exhibiting. Intersolar North America is expected to attract over 10,000 visitors, including experienced solar industry professionals, technology developers, investors and government officials. The conference, running concurrently with the exhibition, will address important issues in photovoltaics, such as crystalline silicon, thin film and concentrator technologies and system technologies. Solar thermal and integrated technologies, financing and investments, materials issues and politics will also be discussed through a series of specific technical workshops, panel discussions and presentations.
