Kyosemi Corporation has announced that high responsivity UV photodiode
(KPDU37S1) is now qualified and available in volume. The photodiode
offers high peak responsivity for the detection of UVA lights in a
wavelength range of 360 nm to 380 nm. The peak responsivity of KPDU37S1
reaches as high as 140 mA/W at the wavelength of 370 nm. The feature
that KPDU37S1 is not sensitive to visible lights makes accurate
detection possible even in the presence of visible lights, without the
addition of a filter. KPDU37S1 is assembled in a small surface mount
package which size is 3 mm x 2 mm x 1.3 mm. KPDU37 uses InGaN
technology.
