A new Copper Indium Gallium Selenide (CIGS) solar cell manufacturer
has selected Eyelit’s Enterprise Manufacturing Execution Suite of
software offerings for its first solar production plant, the company
said.
"Time-to-market is critical for any manufacturer, but the incredible
ramp in the solar industry is proving that the most flexible, fastest
to implement MES product suite on the market fits the industry needs
like a glove,” stated Dan Estrada VP of Sales and Business
Development. “The Eyelit catalog of products can be deployed faster
than any competing solution on the market today, and we've proven that
by going from very first meeting to MES and equipment integration
Go-live in just ten weeks." According to Eyelit, the company’s MES offerings support various PV cell and module manufacturing styles, such as crystalline silicon-based solar cells or alternatives such as glass. Wafer-to-panel, roll/coil-to-panel and glass-to-panel processes can be tracked and controlled.
Subsequent phases will include integration with Oracle ERP (E-Business Suite) and deployment of Eyelit’s Quality Management solution for CAPA and Non-Conformance management.
