ECM, the custom developer and manufacturer of electrically conductive interconnect adhesives and gridinks, has appointed Mark Francis as it global business manager for the solar industry.

Satcon has announced the appointment of a new chief financial officer. Donald R. Peck takes on the role, effective immediately. Prior to joining Satcon, Peck was executive vice president, chief financial officer and treasurer at Egenera, the data center virtualization company.

China Sunergy has announced the appointment of Stephen Zhifang Cai as chief executive officer. Allen Wang, China Sunergy's former CEO, tendered his resignation from the company for personal reasons.

ReneSola has made several management changes including the appointment of a new chief strategy officer, CFO, vice president of finance and vice president of wafer sales.  All management appointments have been approved by the company's board of directors and will take effect as of April 1, 2010.

Evergreen Solar has made two promotions, naming Peter Rusch as VP of sales for Europe, Africa and the Middle East, and Thomas Hoffman as the director of sales for Europe. In a newly created position, Rusch (who was director of sales for Europe) will oversee market development, sales strategy, and implementation in the three key regions of Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Hoffman will be tasked with continuing to expand the company's sales footprint in key European countries, including Germany, Italy, France, and Spain.

Concentrated photovoltaics systems company Soliant Energy has brought Ben Jamison on board as its new VP of marketing. Jamison, who will report to chairman/CEO Terry Bailey, is a seasoned marketing executive with more than three decades of experience with leading companies in dynamic and growth markets. He will be responsible for all marketing-related activities at the Monrovia, CA-based CPV firm, including product management and field applications.

Recurrent Energy has named Patrick Caramante as its new VP of engineering and construction. In this role, he will lead the company's E&C Group, responsible for the design, installation, commissioning, and operation of Recurrent's portfolio of distributed-scale solar projects.

SPG Solar has named Chris Robine as the new company senior vice president and chief financial officer. Robine succeeds Paul McKnight who is leaving SPG Solar to pursue other opportunities.

Motech Industries has appointed Dr. Peng Heng Chang as the new chief executive officer, effective March 31, 2010. Chang replaces Dr. Simon Y.H. Tsuo, who will relinquish his CEO position and focus on his position as chairman of the board of directors. Yung-Hui Tseng, vice chairman and deputy CEO, will also give up his current position of deputy CEO.

Innovalight has hired Michael Johnson as its CFO. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the company, which develops sells silicon ink-based high-efficiency solar cell materials and technology. During his career, Johnson has worked for Baron Data Systems, Ascend Communications, CacheFlow, Amber Networks, and most recently, Trapeze Networks (where he was CFO).
