Quantum Solar Power has named Daryl Ehrmantraut as its new president and CEO. Ehrmantraut succeeds Desmond Ross who has resigned to enable the introduction of new management.

Enecsys, the solar micro-inverter company, has appointed Bernd Kohlstruck as vice president of sales and marketing Europe and managing director of the recently established Enecsys Europe, located near Frankfurt in Germany. Kohlstruck comes to Enecsys from Xantrex Technology, where he worked for nine years as vice president of wind and European solar business and managing director in Berlin.

Reidar Langmo has joined the board of 1366 Technologies. Based in Oslo, Norway, the solar industry veteran is the CEO of VC firm Novus Energy Partners and was a cofounder of silicon PV company REC.

Suntech received the 2009 FT ArcelorMittal Boldness in Business Environment Award on February 25 at the annual Boldness in Business awards, held in London.

Hans-Juergen Stangl of Stangl Semiconductor Equipment has stepped down from his position as president of the IPVEA board of directors due to personal reasons. Current VP of the board of directors, Sven Jarby from Oerlikon, will fill the position until the next elections on September 7, 2010 during the 25th EU PVSEC in Valencia, Spain.

Entech Solar has appointed Dr. Lawrence A. Kaufman to its board of directors. Dr. Kaufman will also serve as chairman of the company's audit committee.

SPG Solar has named Ted Walsh as its VP of business development. In his new role, Walsh, who has been with the company since 2006, will be responsible for overseeing SPG’s sales activities, partner opportunities, and strategic growth.

Edisun Power Europe has appointed Markus Kohler as CTO, effective April 1. Previous to this position Kohler worked at Multi-Contact, the Swiss company specializing in contacts for solar modules.

Evergreen Solar has named Scott Gish as its VP of sales and marketing. He comes to the solar manufacturer from Photronics, a semiconductor photomask company where he was VP of global sales and business development.

Innovalight has hired Boris Mathiszik as its new VP of worldwide sales. He joins the silicon ink-based high-efficiency solar cell materials and technology company from BTU International, where he was managing director for Asia.
