Dr.
Jeff Lu has been appointed to ET Solar’s CTO role with immediate
effect, joining the company from his former role as Senior Director of
Product Development for Daystar Technologies. Dr. Lu brings over 12
years of expertise in PV product development, and manufacturing,
engineering and operational management experience in the solar industry
to this role. He replaces former CTO Dr. Linhui Sui, who now assumes
the position of Chief Scientist and who will work on product
development and R&D with Dr. Lu.
Prior to joining Daystar Technologies as Senior Director of Product Development, which role he held for three years, he was Director of Operations at Advanced Photonic Integrated Circuits, where he worked on the development of solar concentrators. He holds six pending patents on efficiency improvement, module manufacturing and encapsulation materials. Dr. Lu has a B.Sc. in physics from Fu-Jen University in Taipei, Taiwan, and a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. in industrial, system, and welding Engineering from the Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.
