Former Chief Marketing Officer of LG.Philips LCD, Bruce Berkoff has been appointed the new Chief Marketing Officer at Ascent Solar Technologies, Inc. The appointment was viewed as strategic with Berkoff’s 25 years of executive experience, especially in the highly competitive and low margin LCD business.
“Bruce’s visionary insights and proven leadership in development of international business will further enable us to strengthen and develop additional strategic partnerships as we work to complete the installation of our initial 30 MW production facility and our subsequent planned expansions,” said Dr. Mohan Misra, Ascent Solar's Chairman.
Mr. Berkoff currently serves on the boards of directors of LG Display and Unipixel as well as serving as Chairman of the LCD TV Association. Mr. Berkoff was CEO of Enuclia Semiconductor, CMO and EVP at LPL, vice president and general manager at Philips Components FDS, and has held various other executive positions. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from Princeton and UC Berkeley, respectively.
