Sunergy has announced the addition of a further Independent Director to
its Board. Merry Tang, a finance and accounting executive, took up the
role on June 24th, replacing Mr. Alan Smith who resigns from the role
on June 30th. Ms. Tang succeeds Mr. Smith as Chairman of the Audit
Committee on July 1st.
Further reshuffles arising from this appointment include the appointment of Ms. Jian Li as Chairman of the Compensation Committee, while Mr. Wenze Wang takes up the role of Chairman of the Nominating Committee.
Ms. Tang brings 15 years of financial experience to the role, garnered from her current roles as Managing Director for GTA International, LLC and Partner at Tang & Company, PC, two CPA firms based in the U.S. She has also worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as Senior Auditor and at Lucent Technologies, Inc. as Finance Manager. Earlier in her career, she worked in financial positions for the State Government of New York.
She has a B.A. in banking and an M.A. in finance from the Central University of Finance & Banking, Beijing, China and an M.S. in accounting from the State University of New York at Albany.
