Chen (pictured) and J. Michal Conaway have joined the GT Solar Board of
Directors, bringing the total number of GT Solar Board members to six.
Dr. Chen is Executive Vice President and CTO for Novellus Systems,
Inc., while J. Michal Conaway serves as CEO and founder of Peregrine
Group, LLC.
Prior to joining Novellus, Dr. Chen worked at Applied Materials for a 10-year period, most recently as Group Vice President and General Manager for the Copper Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) and Interconnect Product Business Group. Dr. Chen, a director of Electroglas, Inc., has over 60 patents and has been involved in the authorship and publication of over 50 technical papers.
Mr. Conaway founded Peregrine Group, the executive consulting company, in 2000, prior to which he served in various executive management posts including a role as CFO with Fluor Corporation. He currently serves as a director of Quanta Services, Inc., Cherokee International Corporation, Elgin National Industries, Inc. and Enterra Holdings Ltd. Mr. Conaway is a certified public accountant and holds an M.B.A.
