management and manufacturing expert of the hi-tech industry, Johan van
Splunter’s (pictured) near-40 years of experience will be brought into
play in his new role as non-executive independent Director of Solarfun.
Mr. van Splunter has held roles of increasing responsibility with companies such as Grundig, where he was Managing Director and a member of the Board of Management, Philips, where he was appointed CEO of the company’s South Africa division and subsequently of the Asia Pacific region, and was then named CEO of Philips Domestic Appliances and Personal Care. He has a degree in business economics from the University of Amsterdam.
