Nicholas Cucinelli (pictured), an expert in the field
of solar-photovoltaics commercialization, has been appointed as
President and CEO for Octillion Corp. Mr. Cucinelli replaces Harmel
Rayat, who will remain with the company in the role of Director and
majority shareholder.
The new appointment follows on from the company’s
announcement of its intention to alter management to introduce experts
in the realm of solar photovoltaic and renewable energy technologies.
Mr.
Cucinelli joins the company from Energy Conversion Devices, where he
oversaw the commercialization of the company’s solar photovoltaic
technology, among others. He has also worked with companies such as
United Solar Ovonic and with BP’s Future Fuels Team as Advanced
Biofules Consultant. He has a B.Sc. degree from the University of
Michigan, an M.B.A. from the Ross School of Business and a M.Sc. in
natural resources and environment.
