The
Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) has announced its appointment
of three utility experts to fill the company’s regional director roles.
Joining the company are Christy Herig, Jim Harding and Tom Nicholas,
who will each oversee an area of the U.S., expanding the support
capabilities for their specific region.
Christy Herig, who takes on the role of Regional Director for the Eastern U.S., has provided consultation services to the USDOE and the California Energy Commission. Her career has seen her spend 15 years with the Florida Power Corporation, also serving as Principal Research Engineer at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory’s Center for PV, and she also chairs several corporate energy companies.
Jim Harding, who assumes responsibility for the Western U.S., brings experience with large public and private utilities and regulators to the Regional Director role. He served as Director of Power Planning and Forecasting at Seattle City Light, has provided consultancy services to several council bodies, and worked on electricity policy development for the California Energy Commission and Northwest Power Planning Council.
Tom Nicholas brings more than 20 years’ executive experience in the utilities industry to the role of Regional Director for Central U.S. He has chaired several Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) utility committees, and spent seven years on both regulated and unregulated sides if NISOURCE, Indiana. Tom recently held the role of Central U.S. Regional Operations Manager with the EPRI.
The Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) is a representative body for electric utility companies.
