SunPower’s Global Quality and Customer Satisfaction division has
received a new Vice President in the form of Surinder Bedi, announced
company CEO Tom Werner (pictured). This role will see him implement
and drive the company’s improvement and quality programs and overseeing
customer services.
Bringing more than 20 years’ experience to the role, Mr. Bedi comes
to SunPower from his former role as Vice President of Global Quality
and Reliability at FormFactor, Inc. A 10-year stint at Applied
Materials saw him assume the roles of Chairman of the quality steering
board and Vice President of Global Quality and Product Reliability.
Mr.
Bedi also worked in quality-related positions with National
Semiconductor Corp. and Digital Equipment Corp. He has a B.Sc. in
mechanical engineering from Bangalore University, an M.Sc. in
industrial and systems engineering from Ohio University and also
graduated with an executive training qualification from Stanford
University. He also has 11 semiconductor equipment-related patents.
