Almost 5 billion tons of crude oil are used each year globally, a natural resource that will be exhausted in less than 50 years.More than a year after he set off from the European Sustainable Energy Forum in Lucerne, Switzerland, 36-year-old Palmer is on track to become the first person ever to travel around the world in a car without a drop of gas -- proving, he says, that free fuel for life is not a fantasy of the future.
