centrotherm photovoltaics AG has said that at this years European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC), held in Valencia at the beginning of September, the company secured orders worth €70 million. €50 million came from traditional crystalline solar sell manufacturing equipment, while €20 million came from engineering projects. Strong demand came from India in particular as well as from Eastern Europe, China, Taiwan, and Malaysia.
"The trade fair in Valencia was a very successful one for us," commented Robert Hartung, Spokesman for the Management Board of centrotherm photovoltaics AG. "Major interest in our products, consultancy services, and technology has fed through to a number of orders. We have managed to continuously reinforce our strong position in the Asian market. centrotherm photovoltaics already generates around 65 percent of its total sales in the Asian region. We also identify the greatest growth potential in this region in the medium term."
The company also noted that it received strong demand for fully integrated solar factories and is focusing efforts to be able to offer complete technology and plant engineering services under one roof.
