DuPont eyeing renewable energy businesses in China

DuPont intends to develop and boost the renewable energy businesses in China, in areas such as fiber ethanol, biomaterial and photovoltaic solar energy, said Richard R. Goodmanson, DuPont's CEO and executive vice-president., He added that DuPont's renewable energy business is currently worth US$4 billion, and is on track to reach US$8 billion by 2015. The global fiber ethanol market is worth US$75 billion, but China represents just a tiny share so far, said Goodmanson.
