LDK Solar has said that it expects solar wafer shipments to reach the
equivalent of 510MW to 530MW in 2008 and to potentially reach 1,050MW
to 1,150MW in 2009.
Production of polysilicon is expected to reach 350 metric tons in 2008
and between 5,000 to 7,000 metric tons by the end of 2009 as the
company significantly ramps new production.
LDK Solar expects
revenues to be between $960 million and $1 billion in 2008 with gross
margins between 26 and 31 percent. Although no revenue outlook was
given for 2009, the company believes gross margins would be in the
range of 42 to 50 percent.
