A
major wafer manufacturer in Japan has signed a contract with ersol for
the provision to ersol of multicrystalline wafers over a six-year
period, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2009. The anticipated
total production volume of the order is at least 90MWp.
The cost of the entire supply agreement amounts to a two-digit million U.S. dollar sum, while the price of the silicon wafers has been fixed for the duration of the term. This agreement brings ersol’s planned capacity expansion by the end of 2012 to 550 MWp in the crystalline segment.
