Solar has said that with existing wafer supply contract obligations it
is very close to a sell-out situation for 2008 and has sold more than
90 percent of its expected capacity for 2009. Recently, LDK Solar said
that wafer shipments in 2008 would be in the range of 510MW and 530MW
and expects its polysilicon plant to reach its capacity goal of up to
6,000 metric tons in the fourth quarter of 2008.
