Solar firm touts new panel material

Tucson-based Global Solar Energy on Wednesday announced a new flexible solar-electric panel material it says makes it easy for product and module companies to fit thin-film cells into their current manufacturing lines.

Global Solar's new PowerFlex Solar Strings product provides a pre-connected format to its thin-film copper indium gallium diselenide cells, which are made in a "roll-to-roll" manufacturing process.
