1366 Technologies garners more funds for 250MW wafer capacity expansion

Specialist US-based solar wafer producer, 1366 Technologies has received a further US$2.5 million in Series C financing bringing the round to a total of US$17.5 million.

The returning investor was Vorndran Mannheims Capital (formerly Ventizz Capital Partners). The funds were said to be allocated to the cost of supporting the construction of its new manufacturing facility which is planned to increase wafer production to 250MW in 2014.
