Sainsbury’s installs 7MW of PV modules on supermarket rooftops

Sainsbury’s has announced PV installations on the roofs of 115 of its supermarkets throughout the UK, totalling 7MW. The cylindrical PV modules were installed by British company Renewable Resources Energy Solutions. The PV modules used for the pilot project, a Sainsbury’s supermarket in Leamington Spa, were manufactured by now bankrupt solar company Solyndra, Renewable Resources Energy Solutions announced on its website.
