Intertek is expanding its global PV testing capabilities with the construction of state-of-the-art PV module testing facilities in California, USA and Shanghai, China as well as adding a new photovoltaic module testing chamber in its Cortland, NY facility.

Hydro has invested approximately $28.5 million in Ascent Solar, taking Hydro’s share ownership from 22 to 34.8 percent. Hydro first invested in Ascent Solar in March, 2007 and has now invested close to $50 million in the company.

OPEL International has secured a supply of high efficiency triple junction solar cells from Spectrolab, a Boeing Company, to help it fulfill future expected orders over a five-year period. 10MW of triple junction solar cells are to be delivered to OPEL in 2008.

DC Chemical places $200 million follow-on order for polysilicon reactors with GT Solar

GT Solar has won a follow-on contract valued at approximately $200 million, which is the company’s largest ever single order received, to supply DC Chemical with more polysilicon reactors as part of DC Chemical’s facility expansion in Gunsan, South Korea.
