Advanced Energy, SunEdison sign deal for supply of solar PV inverters, services

03 December 2009 | By Tom Cheyney | News > Power Generation

advanced_energy_solaronAdvanced Energy and SunEdison have signed a deal for the supply of AE's Solaron photovoltaic inverters and product life-cycle services to the solar services and integration firm. Financial, delivery, and time-span terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

SunEdison's VP of engineering procurement and construction, Jason Stevens, said that the company "is proud to be working with Advanced Energy as one of our choice suppliers," since the inverter manufacturer "has an outstanding reputation with its high-efficiency Solaron line. We look forward to working with them under this new supply agreement."

AE, which has increased the production capacity of its inverter manufacturing facilities, introduced the Solaron 250 in October; the 250W, grid-tied unit is designed for commercial rooftop PV installations.

MEMC recently finalized the acquisition of SunEdison, which will operate under its existing name as a subsidiary of its new parent company.
