In what should become a common theme for German-based PV module manufactures in declaring revenue results for last year, aleo solar said that preliminary sales figures for 2009 reached €375 million, a 4% or €15 million increase over 2008. aleo solar said that it delivered approximately 145MW in 2009, a 45% increase over the previous year.

With strong second-half year demand in Germany a key factor in the recovery of sales, aleo solar said that demand for its modules in Germany continues to be strong, with frame contracts already in place for 2010, at over 60MW.

"The key to this achievement is aleo solar AG's strategic orientation as a premium module manufacturer with a focus on specialist dealers and installers in Europe,” Jakobus Smit, CEO of aleo solar. “We delivered around 148MWs' worth of aleo modules this year, 45% more than the previous year."

In Europe, the company's customer base expanded to over 1000 specialist partners. Foreign sales account for around 25% of aleo solar AG's revenue.

Heiner Willers, member of the Management Board and COO of aleo solar, noted in a statement that he expects further growth for the company in 2010.

However, the 2009 financial results also reflect the impact of significant price declines have had on module manufacturers. In aleo solar’s case a 45% increase in megawatt shipments that generated a 4% increase in revenue, compared to the previous year.
