10 April 2009 | By Tom Cheyney | News > PV Modules

canadian_solar_modulesIn a move to increase its presence in the U.S. market, Canadian Solar has signed an agreement with Helio Micro Utility to supply 5 MW worth of crystalline-silicon solar PV modules for rooftop residential and commercial installations. The deal will provide the utility with the full line of CSI panels, which range from 0.03 to 300 W in power ratings.

The companies did not disclose either the financial terms or the duration of the agreement.

"A key part of Helio Micro Utility's strategy is to provide high quality solar modules at superior pricing and terms for not only our own projects but also for those of our installer partners," said Mo Rousso, president/CEO of Berkeley CA-based HmU. "This agreement will serve as the foundation for our investment-grade systems offerings to our installers."
