CEOs cut ribbon for Stäubli’s building expansion

27 November 2009 | By Alissa Holly | News > Fab and Facilities

Staubli Ribbon CuttingStäubli Corporation CEO Yves Stäubli, Stäubli Group CEO Rolf Strebel, and Multi-Contact CEO Franco Delvecchio have cut the ribbon for the Stäubli Corporation's new building addition in South Carolina.

The completion of the facility's 40,000 square foot expansion places the building at a total of 100,000 square feet.

Stäubli will use the new space to manufacture electrical connector systems and begin the assembly of both tool changers and electromagnetic quick mold clamping systems.

The connectors and junction boxes produced within the expanded facility will offer series cabling of solar panels which will be integrated into buildings or stand alone arrays. The connector system will enable the assembling and wiring of PV arrays on site.

"We are very pleased to expand our capabilities and workforce in the upstate of South Carolina. With this $5 Mio investment, we not only invest in our future, the local community but also the future of industrial technology and the environment," said Yves A. Stäubli, CEO.
