One upcoming U.S. trade show has been postponed for a year, while a major solar conference in China has added a partner.
PV America, originally scheduled to take place in Washington, DC, on April 8-10, 2010, has been postponed to April 3-5, 2011, and relocated to the Philadelphia Convention Center.
Meanwhile, Intersolar will join the SEMI PV Group to co-organize the conference and host a pavilion at the Solarcon China event, set for March 16-18, 2010.
SEIA and SEPA, which organize PV America through their Solar Energy Trade Shows LLC partnership, had to postpone the 2010 event because of a scheduling conflict with the White House at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
The 2011 show returns to the site of its 2009 edition, where it drew more than 2300 industry attendees and featured 138 exhibitors. Organizers expect to attract more than 3000 attendees and some 200 exhibitors to the rescheduled and relocated event.
The Solarcon China partnership between SEMI PV Group and Solar Promotion International and Freiburg Management and Marketing International (joint managers of the Intersolar events) marks the latest in a series of collaborations between the two organizations, which include Intersolar North America and Intersolar Europe.
They expect at least 1000 participants to attend the high-level PV conference organized in conjunction with the trade show.
