The introductory Intersolar India event held in Hyderabad from November 9 - 11, saw over 3,000 visitors at the three-day conference and accompanying trade fair. The event focused in particular on the significance of the PV industry in India and local market developments. The event was organized in collaboration with Solarcon India.

The conference attracted 645 participants and 45 speakers. The accompanying trade fair recorded a total of 2,500 visitors and 70 exhibitors; both sections exceeded the organizers' expectations in terms of numbers.

Following the success of Intersolar India 2009, plans are being put in place to follow up the event annually from 2010 onward.
