21 November 2008 | By Syanne Olson | News > Power Generation

In September 2008 IBC SOLAR’s “Renova” power plant connected to the Spanish electricity network. The project is located at two different Spanish sites: Castuera and Valverde. Since the beginning of 2008, IBC SOLAR’s subsidiary FOTOVOLTAICA IBC S.A. has installed over 20,000 solar panels with a total power generation of 4.6MWp at the two sites.

The Castuera site has been in operation since June 2008 with around 7,680 modules, yielding 1.728MWp, that were installed between mid-March and June of 2008. The Valverde site has 12,960 modules generating 2.916MWp. IBC SOLAR and FOTOVOLTAICA IBC will monitor, service and maintain the plant.
