MiaSolé begins CIGS distribution from Californian production facility

Module manufacturer, MiaSolé, has started shipping its CIGS (copper-indium-gallium-(di)selenide) thin-film modules from its California production facility. The company has now shipped its modules to 30 customer sites across Europe and the U.S.

Among the customer sites are Germany, Italy, Spain, France and Portugal. MiaSolé now has commercial projects at different stages of progress, in the ground, under development and on the drawing board.

Dr. Joseph Laia, CEO said, "With complete UL/IEC certification and long-standing customer partnerships, we are now ramping our factory output and production capacity for 2010. We are confident our cost structure and manufacturing efficiencies will enable us to compete effectively in the large and growing solar energy market."
