Citing comments made by company CEO Shawn Qu, a recent Reuters report revealed that Canadian Solar, Inc. is looking to increase its module production from 620MW to 800MW by the end of August this year. Any further developments on capacity plans will be revealed in August or September, according to the report.
In the company’s year-end financial results in March 2009, Dr. Qu commented that while the company could extend the capacity of its ingot and cell production, there was no mention of any increased module output at the time.
