Moser Baer has signed new thin-film module supply contracts worth more than $500 million through 2012 with several PV systems integrators, including Ralos Vertriebs and Colexon Energy, both based in Germany. The contracts are based on fixed prices with take or pay arrangements.
“The signing of these key customer contracts is further indication of the rapid growth of our photovoltaic business and the faith of our customers in the thin film technology,” commented Ravi Khanna(pictured), CEO of the Moser Baer Photovoltaic Limited. “Moser Baer is pursuing a differentiated strategy in this high growth business and we are poised to be a global leader in solar PV.”
Moser Baer recently raised $93.5 million to expand production, bringing outside funding to $193 million. Moser Baer is using Applied Materials' ‘SunFab’ thin-film manufacturing technology.
