A European crystalline solar cell manufacturer has placed a large order for numerous SOLARIS systems. Introduced to the market only weeks ago, the product is set to be delivered within the coming year and will increase the customer's production capacity in North America.
Andreas Dill, Head of Oerlikon Systems says, "Our original strategy of offering a compact, cost-effective platform with single wafer handling is proving to be a very popular solution with Photovoltaic (PV) manufacturer."
Oerlikon System's focus is now expanding to include not only Semiconductor and Coating Technologies but also nanotechnology applications.
SOLARIS is claimed to offer low cost of ownership, due to its very small footprint and easy integration into existing production lines.
