Sunfilm released that it has completed the delivery of its thin-film tandem junction modules for the 700kWp Weinmann Aach rooftop installation in Dornstetten, Black Forest, Germany. This is said to be the largest roof installation of its kind in Germany and was contracted by Sunova AG.  Sunfilm imparted their module Model Q, the smallest out of five available formats, for the project.

Although the roof installation will be battling adverse weather conditions, such as strong winds and heavy snow loads, Sunfilm rests assured that the Sunova MCG 2.1 system will exceed expectations. It has proven stability in lab, wind tunnel and field tests. The PV power station is expected to provide 2.4 times more power per year than Weinmann used in 2008 – ensuring that as the company expands, their increase in power demands can be met.
