SEPA announces monthly solar industry phone seminar schedule

sepaThe Solar Electric Power Association (SEPA) has finalized its monthly phone seminar series for the first half of 2009, covering topics ranging from utilities and solar tax credits to feed-in tariffs to the reliability of photovoltaic systems.

The live courses, which will begin at 11 a.m. Eastern (U.S.) time, feature a 40-45-minute presentation from solar industry experts, followed by a 10-15-minute Q&A session for audience participants.

The seminars--free to SEPA members and qualified media--carry a $125 fee for nonmembers. Online registration is available, and the seminars will be recorded and archived for future access.

The dates and topics of the seminars are as follows: 

  • Jan. 26: "Utilities and the Solar Tax Credit"
  • Feb. 12: "Feed-in Tariffs: The Good, the Bad, and What Utilities Need to Know"
  • March 19: "German Solar Markets--How Does the U.S. Solar Market Compare?"
  • Apr. 23: "2008 Solar Market Year in Review"
  • May 21: "Hybrid Configurations: Adding CST to Fossil Fuel Power Plants"
  • June 25: "Reliability of PV Systems - How Long Can We Expect Them to Last?"
