Major module manufacturer SOLON SE has seen sales soar to €815 million in 2008, up 62% compared to sales of €503 million in 2007. The company had guided revenues of between €800-850 million. Net income increased to €32 million.
Production capacity at is module plants in Germany, Austria, Italy and the U.S. increased to 450MWp in 2008. Capacity reached 210MW at the end of 2007.
However, poor visibility into its key markets prevented the company from giving 2009 guidance.
