Sun shines on juwi as sales, staff and headquarters expand

juwi WaldpolenzWörrstadt, Germany-based juwi group has published a report on its performance for 2008 and a projection for 2009 that shows that company sales doubled to reach approximately €400 million for 2008. Contrary to the current norm of laying off staff due to increased operating costs, juwi expects its current staff base to expand by 250 this year – and to reach 1,000 staff by 2011. Sales of close to €700 million are expected for 2009.

The company has installed around 800 PV plants, representing a power output of around 200MW for the company’s portfolio. juwi expects to double the current installed power figure in 2009, with its sights set on reaching the 2GW mark in the next three years. juwi connected around 100MW in 2008, 40MW of which was supplied by the Waldpolenz solar park.

The Wörrstadt-based company headquarters is also currently being expanded due to the increased staff base. juwi has added geothermal and hydroelectric power projects to its current renewables portfolio of solar, wind and bio energy generation.juwi Waldpolenz
