Satcon Technology Corporation’s 500kW PowerGate Plus inverters have been chosen by Suntech Energy Solutions for installation at the recently completed 1MW project at The North Face West Coast Distribution Center in Visalia, California. The solar installation is owned and operated by Recurrent Energy, and has been designed, engineered and installed by Suntech Energy Solutions.

The 500kW PowerGate Plus inverters are designed from the ground up for increased reliability and efficiency, according to the company. The inverters are manufactured with large-scale installations in mind, and were selected by Suntech on the grounds of their suitability to this new installation.

"We chose the Satcon PowerGate Plus inverter for its performance and reliability," said Johann Niehaus, Senior Director of Engineering, Suntech Energy Solutions. "We designed the system to the highest quality, which made Satcon a natural choice."
