12 January 2009 | By Síle Mc Mahon | News > Power Generation

Open EnergyIn an exclusive agreement, Open Energy has teamed up with Suntech Power for the licensing of Open Energy’s building integrated solar roof membrane product. This cooperative move will see Suntech manufacture, distribute, and oversee sales and marketing of Open Energy's solar membrane product, which will carry the title SolarEze once this agreement is finalized, highlighting the product’s relative ease of installation.

It consists of a frameless flat roof membrane, which is light in weight yet waterproof, hail and wind resistant and without any penetrations. Following this news, Suntech is performing an evaluation of various distribution alternatives and sales channels globally to best market and distribute the BIPV product.
