Swiss Wafers AG has entered into a wafer supply deal with Sunways AG that will see the Swiss company ship a total of 115MW from January 2009 to 2016. Remuneration for the deal, the amount of which was not disclosed, will take the form of down payments by Sunways to the Weinfelden, Switzerland-based company.
Sunways’ current annual production capacity of 46MW is expected to be expanded to 116MW by the end of 2008. The companies also stated that they would remain silent on any further contract details.
