Aide Solar to form joint venture with European supplier for production of PV modules in China

It was announced that Jiangsu Aide Solar Energy, a subsidiary of PanJit International, will form a joint venture with a European PV system supplier for the production of PV modules in China. The Digitimes reports that chairman of PanJit, Fang Min-Qing, expects volume production with the, as of yet, unnamed European company to being in March of next year with a capacity of 100MWp.

Fang noted that Aide Solar has received orders that it cannot handle in its existing capacity and has to turn to outsourcing for production. Their current production capacity stands at 80MWp for solar cells and 240MWp for PV modules. Plans are scheduled to expand the PV module capacity next year, but the solar cell capacity will continue to be outsourced with no expansion plans at this time.
