aleo solar executives leave as Bosch takeover completed

After a successful 2009 that saw sales reach €376.1 million on the back of strong branding in Germany, aloe solar’s former senior executives are now leaving the company after the Bosch takeover moves to its next phase of consolidation. Jakobus Smit, chairman of the management board (CEO), Heiner Willers, COO, and Uwe Bögershausen, CFO, are leaving the company effective March 31. The former executives will continue to make their advice available to the company in the future.

“With the successful development of aleo solar AG and now the entry of Bosch as a new large stakeholder, the company begins a new phase,” noted Jakobus Smit in a statement. “Initial changeover activities took place during these first months, and now is the time to complete the transition.”

York zu Putlitz now becomes chairman of the management board, and at the same time will serve as CFO. Since 1996, zu Putlitz has worked in the Bosch Group in various functions.

Jens Sabotke becomes the board member responsible for technology and development. He has worked for the Bosch Group since 1988 and is the technical plant manager in the automotive electronics division.

Norbert Schlesiger becomes the board member responsible for sales. Since early 2007, he has been in charge of distribution activities of aleo solar.
