Recent installations in Greece have taken aleo solar’s 2009 shipments to Greece past the 2MW level, according to the company. The company has a strategy of growing its business outside of Germany with a target of 50% of revenue coming from outside the country by the end of 2010.

We benefit in particular from the fact rooftop applications as well as greenfield power plants with an output of up to 100 kW are subsidized in the Greek solar power market. Thanks to our more than 40 years of experience in architecture and construction, we can offer all the services required for the erection of photovoltaic systems."
The Greek government has recently passed a special program to promote rooftop installations. Aleo has also been active in this market with a recent 20 kW rooftop on an industrial building in Velestino using its S_17 mono-crystalline modules.
Scheuten Solar has also recently announced that it had 1MWp contracted project in the southern part of Greece, which is claimed to be the second-largest installation in the country so far.
