Joining the Apollo Solar Energy Board are two new Independent Directors, Elliot M. Maza and James M. Lee, who between them bring a wealth of executive management experience to the company. Mr. Maza also assumes the role of chairman of the Company's Audit Committee.
Currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Intellect Neurosciences, Inc., Mr. Maza has served in executive roles such as Chief Financial Officer of Emisphere Technologies, Inc.; member of the Board and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Tapestry Pharmaceuticals, Inc.; partner at Ernst and Young LLP and Vice President at Goldman Sachs, Inc. and JP Morgan Securities, Inc. He practiced law for a four-year period at Sullivan and Cromwell LLP in New York. Mr. Maza has a J.D. degree from University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1985.
James Lee is a retired technology veteran who brings 30 years of experience working within the semiconductor industry to Apollo. Of these 30 years, 21 years were spent with Intel Corp. where he led a professional team developing leading edge DRAMs, as well as holding the role of Director of Intel's California Technology Lab. Prior to his retirement from the company, he was General Manager of Intel's manufacturing subsidiary in Shanghai. Mr. Lee has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in electronic engineering from University of Illinois and Syracuse University, respectively and holds five US patents in the field of semiconductors.
