Arizona Public Service issues RFP for 32MW solar plant in Gila Bend

APS issues RFP for 32MW Gila Bend solar project.

Arizona Public Service has issued a request for proposal from solar developers and installers for the construction of a 32MW solar farm in Gila Bend, Arizona. The project will be financed by APS through its AZ Sun Program.

In order to be considered, projects must use commercially proven technology. Upon completion, which is expected to occur by 2014, the solar facility will be part of the AZ Sun Program and be owned and operated by APS.

The RFP will begin on August 22 with a bidder’s webinar taking place on August 29. Further information about the webinar and the RFP is available here.
