Thin-film PV module developer Ascent Solar Technologies has announced that Rafael Gutierrez has been named as the company’s senior vice president and chief operating officer.
Gutierrez previously served as the senior vice president of sales and marketing at Ascent Solar from 2009 to 2011.

Before initially joining Ascent Solar in 2009, Gutierrez worked at Seagate Technologies for 18 years, holding various titles including general manager of consumer electronics, executive director of strategic marketing and director of advanced concepts and product development.
