AU Optronics released its preliminary consolidated June 2012 revenue of US$1.116 billion (NT$33.4 billion). The results represent a 6.4% month-over-month and 6.9% year-over-year growth. The company noted that in Q2 2012, its unaudited consolidated revenues totaled US$3.177 billion, a 17.4% quarter-over-quarter increase, but a 2.9% year-over-year decrease.

Last month the company shipped over 11.5 million large-size panel units, a 12.5% increase from May. It additionally shipped nearly 14.3 million units of its small and medium sized panels, representing an 11.8% month-over-month improvement. Its Q2 2012 large panel shipments totaled over 31.75 million units, a 16.5% quarter-over-quarter and 7.2% year-over-year increase. Small and medium size panel shipments for the quarter amounted to 38 million unit, a 3.6% quarter-over-quarter increase, but a 16.4% drop year-over-year.
