China Sunergy to supply 9.9MW of solar modules in Romania

Solar cell and module manufacturer China Sunergy has signed two contracts to supply 9.9MW of solar modules in Romania.

The contracts were with Bester Generacion, a Spain-based renewables EPC company, it will deploy China Sunergy's multi-crystalline modules for the two ground-mounted projects in Romania.

The modules will be supplied from Sunergy’s Turkey plant, to Romania, in September 2013.

Elaine Li, communications advisor at Asia Bridge Group, told PV Tech Sunergy is looking “not only to co-operate in Romania, but also to expand into the rest of Europe, Romania is just the start. The company is looking to deploy more and more from Turkey to the rest of Europe”.

Stephen Cai, CEO of China Sunergy said: “Endowed with good insolation level and supported by the government's green certificates incentives, the solar market in Romania has grown steadily over the past two years and should continue to offer attractive opportunities in the future”.

Antonio Macias Sanchez, CEO of Bester Generacion said the company is looking forward to “combining both parties' extensive ecosystems to offer all-in-one solutions”.

China Sunergy has added a solar module production capacity of 1.2GW and has sold over 1GW of modules, and Bester Generacion already has 250MW in developed solar projects across Europe.
